Liang Jing Kui, Chinese physical chemist, Died at 87

Liang Jingkui was  born on April 28, 1931,  in Fuzhou, Fujian,and died on January 19, 2019.
He was also known as Jing-Kui Liang.
 
He was a Chinese physical chemist and professor at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Jingkui was appointed the President of the CAS Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter from 1983 to 1987, and was elected an academician of the CAS in 1993. 

Jingkui was awarded the Ho Leung Ho Lee Prize in Technological Sciences in 1999 for his contributions to crystallography, solid-state physics, and materials science.

Liang Jingkui passed away at 87 years old, in Beijing .

Jagjit Singh Chopra, Indian neurologist, Died at 84

Jagjit Singh Chopra was born on June 15, 1935 and died on January 19, 2019.


He was an Indian nervous system specialist, medicinal essayist and an Emeritus Professor of the Department of Neurology at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). 

Chopra was the author essential of the Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, and a past leader of the Indian Academy of Neurology.

Chopra was likewise an essayist, Neurology in Tropics, which is an accumulation of commitments from 146 nervous system specialists.

Following a stroke at Chandigarh, despite attempts to save him for a month at the ICU unit.

Jagjit Singh Chopra passed away at 84 years old.

Julio Vallejo Ruiloba, Spanish psychiatrist, Died at 73

Julio Vallejo-Ruiloba was born in 1945, in Barcelona, Spain and died in January 2019.

He was a Spanish psychiatrist, medical doctor, Chairman of the Psychiatry Departament at the Universitat de Barcelona, ex-President of the Spanish Psychiatry Society, and Academician of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia.

Julio Vallejo-Ruiloba wrote 56 books about psychiatry and more than 350 scientific papers.

In spite of the fact that he has rehearsed general psychiatry his fundamental logical movement has concentrated on the sadness and over the top habitual turmoil.

Vallejo-Ruiloba has centered his examination around there.

John Mendelsohn, American pharmacologist, Died at 82


John Mendelsohn was born on August 31, 1936 and died on January 7, 2019.

He was a president of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Mendelsohn was an internationally recognized leader in cancer research.

He served as MD Anderson president from 1996 to 2011.

When Ronald DePinho became president, John Mendelsohn stepped down September 1, 2011.

He remained on the faculty as co-director of the new Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute for Personalized Cancer Therapy.

Also, Mendelsohn served as a senior fellow in health and technology at the Baker Institute.

He was not a full-time president of MD Anderson.

After that John Mendelsohn showed less interest in his expertise in laboratory research and clinical trials to leading an institution that employs about 18,000 people and serves 100,000 patients yearly, with a budget of more than $3.3 billion.

John Mendelsohn passed away at 82 years old.

Sulagitti Narasamma, Indian midwife, Died at 98

Sulagitti Narasamma was born in Krishnapura, Pavagada village and died on December 25, 2018.

She was an Indian midwife.

Sulagitti Narasamma has assisted in performing more than 15,000 traditional deliveries free of charge over a 70-year period of service in deprived regions of Karnataka with no medical facilities.

Narasamma work was honored with the National Citizen's award of India in 2012 and the country’s fourth highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, in 2018.

Narasamma learned her midwifery skills from her grandmother, Maremma, a midwife who also helped to deliver five of Narasamma's own babies.

At the age of 20, during 1940, Narasamma assisted at her first birth when she helped with the delivery of her aunt's baby.


Then by 2018, at the 97 years old, she had helped to deliver more than 15,000 babies during her years, and has been described as 'the go-to midwife of Krishnapura'.

Sulagitti Narasamma passed away at 98 years old.
