Altino Pinto de Magalhães, Portuguese military officer and politician, Died at 96

Altino Pinto de Magalhães was born on May 8, 1922 and died on January 24, 2019.

He was a resigned Army Officer in the Portuguese Armed Forces, Military Governor and authority in the Ministry of the Army, just as the President of the Junta Regional of the Azores.

Magalhães filled in as a general in the Portuguese Armed Forces, who, while having a moderate style, bolstered the Carnation Revolution of April 25, 1974.

Magalhães turned into a possibility for the Presidency of Portugal in 1985 .Altino Pinto de

Magalhães passed away at 96 years old.

Peter Nambundunga, Namibian military officer, Dead

Major General Peter Nambundunga died on January 14, 2019.

He was a Namibian military commander.

He was designated the Commander of the Army in 2005, supplanting Martin Shalli when he was elevated to Chief of the NDF.

He ascended through the positions of the dissident People's Liberation Army of Namibia (PLAN) amid the Namibian War of Independence, possessing different posts until freedom.

Upon autonomy, PLAN and the South West African Territorial Force (SWATF) converged to shape the Namibia Defense Force (NDF) and Nambundunga was given the position of colonel.

In 2000, he was selected to the position of Major General and delegated as NDF Chief of Staff.

Among 2009 and January 2011, Nambundunga was Acting Chief of the NDF, while Shalli was suspended on claims of extortion.

Peter Nambundunga passed away in 2019.

Joe M. Jackson, American Air Force officer, Died at 95

Joe Madison Jackson born on  March 14, 1923, and died on January 13, 2019.

 
Jackson filled in as a professional officer in the United States Air Force and got the Medal of Honor for gallantry far in excess of what was required amid the Vietnam War.

On 12 May 1968, he volunteered for a perilous off the cuff save of three residual Air Force individuals caught at an invading Army Special Forces camp. 

While the camp was still under overwhelming adversary fire from North Vietnamese and Viet Cong troops, he skillfully guided his C-123 load plane and protected the three men. 

Jackson was an ardent model airship fan in his childhood. 

Jackson enrolled in the Army Air Corps in March 1941, a couple of days after his eighteenth birthday celebration, with expectations of being a plane technician.

Joe Madison Jackson passed away at 95 years old.

Sun Ganqing, Chinese major general, Died at 99

Sun Ganqing was born on January 19, 1919, in Linzi, Shandong and died on January 5, 2019.

Ganqing served as a major general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

Ganqing served as chief of staff of the Guangzhou Military Region and the Kunming Military Region, and commander of the Hainan Military District.

Ganqing served as a veteran in the Second Sino-Japanese War, Chinese Civil War, and Sino-Vietnamese War.

Sun Ganqing passed away at 99 years old.
