Kálmán Ihász, Hungarian footballer, Died at 77

Kálmán Ihász was born on March 6, 1941, in Budapest, and died on January 31, 2019.

Dara Dotiwalla  was born on October 30, 1933 and died on January 30, 2019.

He was a former Indian cricket umpire.

Between 1982 and 1987, Dotiwalla participated in six Test matches, including the second ever Tied Test, and eight ODI games between 1982 and 1988.

Egisto Pandolfini was born on February 17, 1926, in Lastra a Signa and died on January 29, 2019.

Yıldırım Uran was born on  October 6, 1955 and died on January 21, 2019.

He had one son, Conn, and a daughter, Elizabeth.

Alexandra Svetlitskaya, Footballer, Died at 47

Alexandra Svetlitskaya was born on August 20, 1971 and died on January 23, 2019.

She  was a Russian football midfielder.

She  represented Russia in the 1999 and 2003 World Cups.

Hidekichi Miyazaki, Japanese masters athlete, Died at 108

Hidekichi Miyazaki was born on September 22, 1910 and died on January 23, 2019.

He was a Japanese centenarian masters athlete.

He was  nicknamed Golden Bolt, a name play on Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.

Miyazaki was a former official holder of the world record in the M100 100 metres.

On September 23, 2015, the day after his 105th birthday, he became the second person to compete in the 105 year age division following Pole Stanisław Kowalski who competed earlier in the year on June 28.

Jim McKean, Canadian baseball umpire, Died at 73

James Gilbert McKean was born on May 26, 1945 and died on January 24, 2019.
He was an umpire in Major League Baseball (MLB).

McKean  worked in the American League (AL) from 1973 to 1999, and in both significant classes in 2000 and 2001.

McKean umpired in the World Series in 1979, 1985 and 1995.

McKean likewise directed in five American League Championship Series (1977, 1983, 1987, 1991, 1998) and three All-Star recreations (1980, 1982, 1993), calling balls and strikes for the last diversion, just as the 1981, 1995 and 1999 American League Division Series.

Raghbir Singh Bhola, Indian field hockey player, Died at 91

Raghbir Singh Bhola was born on August 21, 1927, and died on January 21, 2019.

 He was an Indian field hockey player who represented India in the 1956 Melbourne and 1960 Rome Olympics.

He retired from the Indian Air Force as a Group Captain and continued to stay involved in the sport of hockey. 

He was awarded the Arjuna Award for lifetime achievements in Field Hockey, in 2000. 
He was survived by his wife Kamla Bhola, three daughters and three grandchildren.

Mithra Wettimuny, Sri Lankan cricketer, Died at 67

Mithra de Silva Wettimuny was born on June 11, 1951, and died on January 20, 2019.

He was a Sri Lankan cricketer.

He played in two Tests and one One Day International (ODI) in 1983.

He was one of three siblings to represent the country (all opening batsmen), elder brother Sunil played in the 1975 and 1979 Cricket World Cups while youngest brother Sidath scored Sri Lanka's first Test match hundred.

He became well know as captain due to the successful Ceylon Schools team which toured India in 1969/70, a team which included future Test captains Bandula Warnapura and Duleep Mendis.

In the early 80's Sri Lanka gained Test status, and by then in his early thirties, Wettimuny's entire first-class cricket career incorporated nine matches in four countries in 127 days (his highest score being 55 on debut against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo in November 1982).
