Annalise Braakensiek, Australian model and actress, Died at 46

Annalise Braakensiek was born on December 9, 1972 and died on January 6, 2019.

She was an Australian model, actress and TV presenter.

During 2002, Annalise Braakensiek married stockbroker Danny Goldberg . In 2018, they separated.

On 6 January 2019, Anana was found dead in her Potts Point apartment, after her friends and family had not heard from her for a few days.

The investigating team said there were no suspicious circumstances.

Annalise Braakensiek passed away at 46 years old.

Gene Zwozdesky, Canadian politician, Died at 70

Gene Zwozdesky was born on July 24, 1948, in Nipawin, Saskatchewanin Nipawin, Saskatchewan and died on January 6, 2019.

He was a Canadian politician.

He represented the province of Alberta.

 Gene Zwozdesky was in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1993 to 2015 and was the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly from 2012 to 2015.

His parents were Ukrainian-Canadian born Alec and Anna Zwozdesky.

During his career he has won numerous awards from cultural and arts organizations, as well as the 2005 Alberta Centennial Medal.

He became a member of the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers in 1963, and performed in the troupe for six years then going on to becoming the musical director, composing and conducting Shumka's music for twenty-five years.

Gene Zwozdesky also served in the same role for the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company.

Zwozdesky was married to Christine, the couple rasiesd two children.

Gene Zwozdesky passed away at 70 years old.

Jimmy Hannan, Australian game show host and singer, Died at 84

Jimmy Hannan was born on August 25, 1934 and died on January 7, 2019.

He was a Gold Logie-winning Australian variety show host, singer and entertainer and game show host.

Hannan was by far one of the pioneers of television, Hannan won the 1965 Gold Logie award.

His famous single was Beach Ball, which featured The Bee Gees as backing vocalists.

Jimmy also served on the air in Melbourne at The Greater 3UZ.

Melissa Hannan was his daughter, in 1981 she won the Miss Australia title and she was also in the Miss World competition in London that same years.

Jimmy Hannan passed away at 84 years old.

Moshe Arens, Israeli aeronautical engineer and politician, Died at 93


Moshe Arens was born on December 1925, in Kaunas, Lithuania, and died on January 7, 2019.

He was an Israeli aeronautical engineer, researcher, diplomat, and Likud politician.

Arens was a member of the Knesset between 1973 and 1992 and again from 1999 until 2003.

Moshe Arens was also appointed the Minister of Defense three times and once as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He was also served as the Israeli ambassador to the U.S.

Arens served as a professor at the Technion in Haifa.

He was the Deputy Director General at Israel Aircraft Industries from 1962 until 1971, where he was in charge of major development projects, including the Kfir fighter jet project.

Moshe Arens passed away at 93 years old.

Aisha Lemu, British-born Nigerian Islamic scholar, Died at 79

Aisha Lemu was born in 1940, in Poole, Dorset and died on January 5, 2019.

She was a British-born author and religious educator.

Lemu was converted to Islam in 1961 and lived most of her life in Nigeria.

She attended the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), pursuing her interest in Chinese history, language and culture.

During his timethere, she met Muslims who gave her Islamic literature to read and she converted to Islam at the Islamic Cultural Centre in 1961, during her first year of study.

Subsequently, Lemu helped to found the Islamic Society at SOAS, becoming its first secretary, and also assisted in the formation of the Federation of Student Islamic Societies.

Aisha Lemu passed away at 79 years old, in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria.

Sergio Otoniel Contreras Navia, Chilean Roman Catholic prelate, Died at 92

Sergio Otoniel Contreras Navia was born on April 27, 1926, and died on January 5, 2019.

He was a Chilean Roman Catholic bishop.

He was born in Chile.

In 1957 Contreras Navia was ordained to the priesthood.

Contreras Navia served as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Carlos de Ancud, Chile, from 1966 to 1974 and as auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Concepción, Chile.

Sergio Otoniel Contreras Navia was a bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Temuco, Chile from 1977 to 2001.

 Contreras Navia passed away at 92 years old.

Alexis Smirnoff, Canadian professional wrestler, Died at 71

Michel Lamarche was born on February 9, 1947, in Saint-Lin, Quebec and died on January 5, 2019.

He was a Canadian professional wrestler.

Smirnoff was mostly called by his ring name Alexis Smirnoff and Michel "Justice" Dubois (Mike "The Judge" Dubois).

Smirnoff took part in North American regional promotions including the National Wrestling Alliance, including the Mid-South, Central States, Georgia and San Francisco territories, as well as short stints in International Wrestling Enterprise, the American Wrestling Association and the World Wrestling Federation in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Cauliflower Alley Club's Facebook page posted the following about Lamarche on January 4, 2019: "Alexis Smirnoff is in hospice care in Marietta, Georgia, with kidney failure.
