Erminio Enzo Boso Pieve Tesino was born on July 9, 1945, in Pieve Tesino and died on January 10, 2019.


He was an Italian politician.
 
He served as a Senator between 1992 and 1996.

Theo Adam, German opera singer, Died at 92

Theo Adam was born on  August 1, 1926 and died on January 10, 2019.
 
He was a German operatic bass singer.

He had an active international career in opera, concert and recital from the 1940s through the 1990s. 

Adam mostly excelled in portraying roles by Richard Wagner. 

During concert, Adam was a much admired Bach singer and also drew acclaim for his exposition of the title character of Mendelssohn's Elijah. 

Adam was praised for his robust voice and intelligent interpretation, and sometimes criticized for abrasive tone quality,unsteadiness,and wobble.

His 1968 Hamburg film of Fidelio can be found on DVD, with Richard Cassilly, Anja Silja, and Lucia Popp.

He  wrote two books about his life, career, and perspective on opera, Seht, hier ist Tinte, Feder, Papier.

He  passed away at 92 years old in Dresden.

Jaime Rosenthal, Honduras businessman and politician, Died at 82

Christian Conrad Blouin was born in November 1941, in Canada and died on January 12, 2019.

He was a Papua New Guinean Roman Catholic bishop.

He was ordained to the priesthood during 1969. Blouin served as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lae, Papua New Guinea, from 2007 to 2018.

Christian Conrad Blouin passed away at 77 years old.

Jaime Rosenthal, Honduran businessman and politician, Died at 82

Jaime Rolando Rosenthal Oliva was born on May 5, 1936, and died on January 12, 2019.

He was a Honduran politician.

He was the leader of one of Liberal Party of Honduras's (PLH) wings and was a perennial candidate for President.

On March 20, 1974, Rosenthal was the founder of the Banco Continental.

He was labeled a "specially designated narcotics trafficker" under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act, on October 7, 2015.

Patricia Wald, American judge, Died at 90

Patricia McGowan Wald was born on September 16, 1928, and died on January 12, 2019.

She was an American judge.

She was appointed as the Chief United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (D.C. Circuit) and as a judge of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

Patricia Wald was the first woman to serve on the D.C. Circuit and the first to serve as Chief Judge of that same court.

Wald served as a member of the American Bar Association's International Criminal Court (ABA-ICC) Project and on the Council of the American Law Institute.

Robert Lewis Wald was her husband, he was also a Yale Law School graduate.

The couple got married in 1951 when Patricia was 23 years old; the pair met in Europe as they were both traveling the continent.

The couple had three daughters and two boys in over a span of seven years: Sarah, Doug, Johanna, Frederica, and Thomas.

They had 10 grandchildren.

Robert Wald passed away at 90 years old in Washington, D.C., from pancreatic cancer.

Larry Cunningham, Floaters Singer, Died at 67


Larry Cunningham died on January 10, 2018.

He was a Floaters Singer

In January 10, 2019, They had one big hit back in 1977, but wow was it a hit.

The Floaters came out of the clubs of Detroit and shot right to the top of the pop and R&B charts with their first single, "Float On." And folks still love the ballad four decades later.

The Floaters are extremely sad today to inform SoulTrackers of the death of group co-founder and all around good guy, Larry Cunningham, after a long illness.

Larry Cunningham passed away at 67 years old.

Bea Vianen, Surinamese writer, Died at 83

Beatrice Sylvia Vianen was born on November 6, 1935, in Paramaribo and died on January 2019.
 
She was a Surinamese writer.
 
She goes by the name Bea Vianen.

Bea Vianen had both African and Indian ancestry and spent time in the Netherlands starting in 1957.
 
Bea Vianen mostly wrote in Dutch, but occasionally in Sranan Tongo.
 
Vianen's first novel was Sarnami, Hai or "Surinam I am" in 1969.
 
Vianen was an admirer of the Trinidadian novelist V. S. Naipaul.
