Conxita Julià, Catalan poet, Died at 98

Conxita Julià i Farrés was born on  June 11, 1920 and died on January 9, 2019.

She was also known as Conxita de Carrasco.
Conxita Julià was a Catalan woman noted for her business with Lluís Companys, President of 
Catalonia, in the 1930s, and for her poetry.

Conxita Julià passed away at 98 years old.

Charles Soreng, Indian Roman Catholic prelate, Died at 84

Charles Soreng was born on August 18, 1934 and died on  January 11, 2019.

 
He was an Indian Roman Catholic bishop.
 
He was born in India and was ordained to the priesthood in 1969.
 
Soreng was appointed the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Daltonganj, India from 1989 to 1995 and as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hazaribag, India, from 1995 to 2012.

Michel Dejouhannet  was born on July 3, 1935, and died on January 12, 2019.
He was a French professional road bicycle racer.
He won a stage at Tour de France, in 1959.

Béla Zsitnik, Hungarian rower, Died at 94

Béla Zsitnik was born on  December 17, 1924, in Győr and died on January 12, 2019.

He was a Hungarian rower.
He took part in the 1948 Summer Olympics, in the 1952 Summer Olympics, and in the 1960 Summer Olympics.

He is the father of Béla Zsitnik, Jr.
 During 1948 Zsitnik was a crew member of the Hungarian boat which won the bronze in the coxed pairs event. 

After four years  Zsitnik  was eliminated with the Hungarian boat in the semi-final repechage of the eight competition. 

At the 1960 Games Zsitnik was part of the Hungarian boat which was eliminated in the repechage of the coxless four event.

Béla Zsitnik passed away at 94 years old.

Bob Kuechenberg, American football player, Died at 71

Robert John Kuechenberg was born on October 14, 1947 and died on January 12, 2019.

 
He was a National Football League guard for the Miami Dolphins for fourteen seasons between 1970 and 1983, spending the 1984 season on injured reserve. 

Kuechenberg  was a pillar in a line that included Hall of Famers Jim Langer, Larry Little, and Dwight Stephenson and played in six Pro Bowls in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Kuechenberg was selected as one of the top 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame from 2002 to 2006, and one of the top 17 finalists from 2007–2009, but missed the cut every year. 

Kuechenberg  was inducted into the Miami Dolphin's Honor Roll on December 15, 1995.
 
Kuechenberg was the brother of former Chicago Bears linebacker Rudy Kuechenberg.

Etsuko Ichihara, Japanese actress, Died at 82

Etsuko Ichihara was born on January 24, 1936 and died on January 12, 2019.

She was a Japanese actress.
 
Ichihara appeared in more than one hundred films since 1957.
 
He joined the Haiyuza theater troupe in 1957 and made her debut in Rikō na oyomesan.
 
Ichihara won an award at the 1959 Geijutsusai for Chidori, she became the star of Haiyuza, but left the troupe in 1971.

Ichihara has appeared in film and on television, and is also known for narrating the long-running anime series Manga Nihon mukashi banashi.

Ichihara won the Japan Academy Prize for best supporting actress for Black Rain in 1990.

Serena Dunn Rothschild, British racehorse owner, Died at 83

Serena Mary Dunn Rothschild, Lady Rothschild (née Dunn) was born on April 28, 1935 and died on January 13, 2019.

She was a British Thoroughbred racehorse owner.
Serena was the wife of Jacob Rothschild, 4th Baron Rothschild.
Rothschild married financier Jacob Rothschild on October 20, 1961, with whom she had four children.

 She was the daughter of Sir Philip Gordon Dunn, Bt., and Lady Mary Sybil St. Clair-Erskine (daughter of James St Clair-Erskine, 5th Earl of Rosslyn). 

Serena's sister is the writer Nell Dunn.
Serena's real grandfather was Sir James Dunn, Bt., a prominent Canadian financier.
Serena Dunn Rothschild's colt Pounced, trained by John Gosden and ridden by Frankie Dettori in 2009, won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.
