Paweł Adamowicz, Polish politician, Died at 53

Paweł Bogdan Adamowicz was born on November 2, 1965, and died on  January 2019.
 
He was a Polish politician and lawyer.
 
He served as the mayor of the city of Gdańsk, Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland until his assassination. 

Adamowicz attended law school at the University of Gdańsk, where Pawel also became a prominent student movement member. 

Paweł Adamowicz was one of the organizers of the 1988 strike and became the headperson of the strike committee.

Paweł Adamowiczserved as a vice-rector at his alma mater, between 1990 and 1993.
 
Paweł Adamowicz was stabbed on stage at the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity event in Gdańsk and was taken to hospital in critical condition ,on January 13, 2019.

Paweł Adamowicz died the following day from the critical wounds he sustained.

He passed awy at 53 years old.

Pierre de Bané, Palestinian-born Canadian politician, Died at 80

Pierre De Bané was born on August 2, 1938 and died on  January 9, 2019.

He was a Canadian senator.
Bané was the first person of Arab descent to be elected to the House of Commons of Canada in Matane and next Matapédia, Matane, and was a member of the Canadian Cabinet.

Bané left  the Senate upon turning 75 on August 2, 2013.

Pierre De Bané passed away at 80 years old.

Conxita Julià, Catalan poet, Died at 98

Conxita Julià i Farrés was born on  June 11, 1920 and died on January 9, 2019.

She was also known as Conxita de Carrasco.
Conxita Julià was a Catalan woman noted for her business with Lluís Companys, President of 
Catalonia, in the 1930s, and for her poetry.

Conxita Julià passed away at 98 years old.

Charles Soreng, Indian Roman Catholic prelate, Died at 84

Charles Soreng was born on August 18, 1934 and died on  January 11, 2019.

 
He was an Indian Roman Catholic bishop.
 
He was born in India and was ordained to the priesthood in 1969.
 
Soreng was appointed the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Daltonganj, India from 1989 to 1995 and as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hazaribag, India, from 1995 to 2012.

Charles Soreng passed away at 84 years old.

Michel Dejouhannet, French racing cyclist, Died at 83

Michel Dejouhannet  was born on July 3, 1935, and died on January 12, 2019.
He was a French professional road bicycle racer.
He won a stage at Tour de France, in 1959.

Michel Dejouhannet passed away at 83 years old.

Béla Zsitnik, Hungarian rower, Died at 94

Béla Zsitnik was born on  December 17, 1924, in Győr and died on January 12, 2019.

He was a Hungarian rower.
He took part in the 1948 Summer Olympics, in the 1952 Summer Olympics, and in the 1960 Summer Olympics.

He is the father of Béla Zsitnik, Jr.
 During 1948 Zsitnik was a crew member of the Hungarian boat which won the bronze in the coxed pairs event. 

After four years  Zsitnik  was eliminated with the Hungarian boat in the semi-final repechage of the eight competition. 

At the 1960 Games Zsitnik was part of the Hungarian boat which was eliminated in the repechage of the coxless four event.

Béla Zsitnik passed away at 94 years old.

Bob Kuechenberg, American football player, Died at 71

Robert John Kuechenberg was born on October 14, 1947 and died on January 12, 2019.

 
He was a National Football League guard for the Miami Dolphins for fourteen seasons between 1970 and 1983, spending the 1984 season on injured reserve. 

Kuechenberg  was a pillar in a line that included Hall of Famers Jim Langer, Larry Little, and Dwight Stephenson and played in six Pro Bowls in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Kuechenberg was selected as one of the top 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame from 2002 to 2006, and one of the top 17 finalists from 2007–2009, but missed the cut every year. 

Kuechenberg  was inducted into the Miami Dolphin's Honor Roll on December 15, 1995.
 
Kuechenberg was the brother of former Chicago Bears linebacker Rudy Kuechenberg.

Bob Kuechenberg passed away at 71 years old.
