Daryl Dragon, American musician and songwriter, Died at 76

Daryl Frank Dragon was born on August 27, 1942, and died on January 2, 2019.

He was a popular American performer and musician.

He was known as Captain from the pop melodic team Captain and Tennille with his then-spouse, Toni Tennille.

He was naturally introduced to a melodic family and is the child of Eloise (Rawitzer) and director, writer, and arranger Carmen Dragon, and the senior sibling of Dennis Dragon, an individual from the 1960s pop combo The Dragons and the 1980s surf band the Surf Punks.

Dragon back up parent was an on-screen character and entertainer Danny Thomas.

His most known picture and stage name originated from his time as a console player with The Beach Boys from 1967 to 1972.

Shoreline Boys lead artist Mike Love gave him the epithet "Chief Keyboard", and it stuck. He began wearing a nautical skipper's cap to oblige the name.

Whilst Captain in Captain and Tennille, Dragon was habitually quiet and a man of not very many words, playing a thwart to his active, vivacious spouse, Toni Tennille.

Daryl Dragon passed away at 76 years old.
