José Ramón Fernández, Cuban militant, Died at 95

José Ramón Fernández Álvarez was born on November 4, 1923 and died on January 6, 2019.

He was a Cuban Communist leader.

He was a Vice-President of the Council of Ministers.

He was a member of the Cuban government at the investiture of presidents in several Latin American countries and at other governmental events.

José Ramón Fernández was a member of the Executive Committee of the Pan American Sports Organization.

Thru the recognition of his work, Fernández Álvarez was awarded several medals, among them the title of Hero of the Republic of Cuba.

José Ramón Fernández passed away at 95 years old.
