Ben Coleman, American basketball player, Died at 57

Benjamin Coleman was born on November 14, 1961 and died on January 6, 2019.

He was an American professional basketball player.

He when to the University of Minnesota and the University of Maryland.

Choosen by the Chicago Bulls in the second round (37th overall) in the 1984 NBA Draft, but did not start his NBA career until 1986 with the New Jersey Nets.

Coleman made his final appearance in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons in 1994, after a three-year absence from the league.

Coleman coached in the greater Minneapolis area with the private coaching service, CoachUp.

He passed away at 57 years old.

Tom Rukavina, American politician, Died at 68

Thomas Rukavina was born on August 23, 1950, and died on January 7, 2019.

He was an American politician and a Democratic–Farmer–Labor.

He was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1987 to 2013.

Rukavina was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Minnesota, in 2010 seeking the DFL nomination.

Rukavina was a St. Louis County commissioner from 2015 to 2018.

Tom Rukavina passed away at 68 years old due to leukemia.

Eric Haydock, British Hall of Fame bassist,Died at 75

Eric Haydock was born Eric John Haddock on February 3,1943 and died on January 5, 2019.

He was a British musician.

He was best known as the original bass guitarist of The Hollies from December 1962 until July 1966.

He was one of the principal British artists to play a Fender Bass VI, a six-string bass.

Although considered a great bass guitarist, Haydock was replaced in 1966 by Bernie Calvert, after disputes related to the conduct of the band's managers.

Eric Haydock passed away at 75 years old.

Derek Piggott, British glider pilot and flight instructor, Died at 96

Alan Derek Piggott MBE was born on December 27, 1922, and died on January 6, 2019.

He was one of Britain's popular glider pilots and instructors.

Derek Piggott punched in over 5,000 hours on over 153 types of powered aircraft and over 5,000 hours on over 184 types of glider.

Piggott was given an awars for his work on the instruction and safety of glider pilots. Derek Piggot became the first person to make an officially authenticated take-off and flight in a man-powered aircraft in 1961.

Piggot was also a stunt pilot in several feature films.

He invented the "Piggott-Hook", which he designed to prevent air brakes opening on a launch.

Today, this system is installed in all new gliders built by DG Flugzeugbau.

Derek Piggot passed away at 96 yeasrs old.

W. Morgan Sheppard, British actor, Died at 86

William Morgan Sheppard was born on August 24, 1932, and died on January 6, 2019.


He was also known as Morgan Sheppard or W. Morgan Sheppard.

Sheppard was a British actor and voice actor.

He has voiced a couple of various characters in computer games.

Sheppard portrayed the presentations and mission briefings for the initial four portions of the Medal of Honor computer game arrangement.

Sheppard was thrown in the 1996 experience amusement Zork Nemesis, assuming the no-frills job of Bishop Francois Malveaux.

He had a couple of best jobs in a few scenes for different arrangements of Star Trek, remarkably "The Schizoid Man" and "Delight".

During the element film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, his job was the superintendent of a Klingon gulag and in the 2009 reboot Star Trek, he played an individual from the Vulcan High Council yet was uncredited.

Myron Thompson, Canadian politician, Died at 82

Myron Thompson was born on April 23, 1936, and died on January 5, 2019.

He was a Conservative Member of Parliament in the House of Commons of Canada.

Myron Thompson represented the riding of Wild Rose in Alberta.

He was of a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, Thompson was born and raised in Monte Vista, Colorado.

 At the age 19 years old, Thompson tried out for the New York Yankees as a catcher however failed to make the team due to Yogi Berra's dominance at the position.

Myron Thompson passed away at 82 years old.

Kwamie Lassiter, American football player, Died at 49

Kwamie Lassiter was born on December 3, 1969, in Hampton, Virginia, and died on January 6, 2019.

He was an American football safety.

Kwamie Lassiter was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 1995. Lassiter played college football at Kansas.

After the 2001 season, he was selected as an alternate for the 2002 Pro Bowl after reaching career highs with 112 tackles and 9 interceptions.

He spent the 2004 preseason with the Chargers and was cut.

On September 21, 2004, The St. Louis Rams signed Lassiter.
