Emil Brumaru, Romanian writer and poet, Died at 80

Emil Brumaru was born on December 25, 1938, in Bahmutea, Bessarabia and died on January 5, 2019.

He was a Romanian writer and poet.

During 1975, Brumaru studied medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Iași before turning to poetry.

Johan Claassen, South African rugby player and coach, Died at 89

Johan Claassen was born on September 23, 1929, and died on January 6, 2019.

He was a South African rugby player.

He played at the second-row forward position.

He became captain of the South African National Team before a match against the French in 1958.

Claassen was the leader of the South African team to a winning streak, including a major victory over the British and Irish Lions.

During the 1970s, Claassen became head coach of the South African team, known as the Springboks.

During his club rugby years, he was most notably a star for Western Transvaal.

He was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1987 to 2013.

Rukavina was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Minnesota, in 2010 seeking the DFL nomination.

Rukavina was a St. Louis County commissioner from 2015 to 2018.

Eric Haydock, British Hall of Fame bassist,Died at 75

Eric Haydock was born Eric John Haddock on February 3,1943 and died on January 5, 2019.

He was a British musician.

He was best known as the original bass guitarist of The Hollies from December 1962 until July 1966.

He was one of the principal British artists to play a Fender Bass VI, a six-string bass.

Although considered a great bass guitarist, Haydock was replaced in 1966 by Bernie Calvert, after disputes related to the conduct of the band's managers.

Eric Haydock passed away at 75 years old.

Derek Piggott, British glider pilot and flight instructor, Died at 96

Alan Derek Piggott MBE was born on December 27, 1922, and died on January 6, 2019.

He was one of Britain's popular glider pilots and instructors.

Derek Piggott punched in over 5,000 hours on over 153 types of powered aircraft and over 5,000 hours on over 184 types of glider.

Piggott was given an awars for his work on the instruction and safety of glider pilots. Derek Piggot became the first person to make an officially authenticated take-off and flight in a man-powered aircraft in 1961.

Piggot was also a stunt pilot in several feature films.

He invented the "Piggott-Hook", which he designed to prevent air brakes opening on a launch.

Today, this system is installed in all new gliders built by DG Flugzeugbau.

Derek Piggot passed away at 96 yeasrs old.

W. Morgan Sheppard, British actor, Died at 86

William Morgan Sheppard was born on August 24, 1932, and died on January 6, 2019.


He was also known as Morgan Sheppard or W. Morgan Sheppard.

Sheppard was a British actor and voice actor.

He has voiced a couple of various characters in computer games.

Sheppard portrayed the presentations and mission briefings for the initial four portions of the Medal of Honor computer game arrangement.

Sheppard was thrown in the 1996 experience amusement Zork Nemesis, assuming the no-frills job of Bishop Francois Malveaux.

He had a couple of best jobs in a few scenes for different arrangements of Star Trek, remarkably "The Schizoid Man" and "Delight".

During the element film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, his job was the superintendent of a Klingon gulag and in the 2009 reboot Star Trek, he played an individual from the Vulcan High Council yet was uncredited.

Other than the jobs in Star Trek, W. Morgan Sheppard is prevalent for his job as Blank Reg on Max Headroom and his job as the Confederate general Isaac Trimble in the movies Gettysburg and Gods and Generals.
