Yu Min, Chinese nuclear physicist, Died at 93


Yu Min was born in August 1926, in Tianjin and died January 16, 2019.

He was a well known Chinese nuclear physicist, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and a recipient of Two Bombs, One Satellite Achievement Medal. Min was famous for his excellent performances in Yaohua High School.

He was then appointed by Department of Electronics of Peking University, however, out of the passion for the physical theories, he turned into Department of Physics and made up his mind in working on the theory side.

Yu's name remained the top secret of P.R. China until 1988.

Min was awarded the national top science award in January 2015.

After winning the 5 million CNY prize, he founded the Yu Min Foundation to support scientific development in China.

Yu Min died in Beijing on January 16, 2019.

He passed away 93 years old.

Biraj Kumar Sarma, Indian politician, Died at 70

Biraj Kumar Sarma died on January 15, 2019.

He was an Asom Gana Parishad politician from Assam.

Sarma was elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 1996 from Gauhati East constituency.

Malik Mazhar Abbas Raan, Pakistani politician, Died at 65

Raan was re-elected to Provincial Assembly of Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Constituency PP-218 (Multan-VIII) in Pakistani general election, 2018.

He died due to cardiac arrest in Lahore.

Vishnu Hari Dalmia, Indian industrialist, Died at 94

Vishnu Hari Dalmia was born on May 6, 1924, and died on January 16, 2019.

He was a noted Indian industrialist and a prominent member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Vishnu Hari Dalmia was a scion of Dalmia Group of industries and the eldest son of Jaidayal Dalmia.

Dalmia was one of the senior members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, served as the various post in the organization as president, international president and currently patron and in the advisory board of VHP.

Dalmia played important role in Ram Janmabhoomi movement and is one of the co-accused in Babri Masjid demolition case.

His Bros is control by Vishnu Hari Dalmia's sons, Sanjay Dalmia and Anurag Dalmia, Dalmia Bharat Group that is managed by Gautam Dalmia and Puneet Dalmia, Orissa Cement, Renaissance Group and their subsidiaries.

Vishnu Hari Dalmia died at his Golf Link Residence in Delhi.

Vishnu Hari Dalmia passed away at 94 years old.

Bai Hua, Chinese playwright and Poet, Died at 88

Bai Hua was born on  November 20, 1930,  in Xinyang, Henan and died on January 15, 2019.

He was originally named Chen Youhua .

He was a Chinese playwright and poet.

Hua gained his national fame for his plays based on uncompromising historical criticism.

Hua resided in retirement in Shanghai with his wife.

Bai Hua's most recent poetry, following a long silence, was published in 2009.

Bai Hua passed away at 88 years old.
