Ian Adamson, Northern Irish politician, Died at 74

Dr Ian Adamson was born on June 28, 1944, in Bangor, County Down and died in January 2018.

He was a former Lord Mayor of Belfast.

He is a former member of the Ulster Unionist Party and is a retired pediatrician.

Ian Adamson had filled in as Deputy Lord Mayor in 1994-95 and after that Lord Mayor of Belfast in 1996-97 and was given the Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty The Queen in 1998 for administrations to the nearby government.

Adamson originator of the Ullans Academy, of which he is currently President, trailed by the Ulster-Scots Language Society in 1992 and turned into the principal Rector and organizer Chairman of the Ulster-Scots Academy in 1994.

He was a Specialist in Community Child Health (Community Pediatrics) being an individual from the Faculty of Community Health and was granted the association of the Royal Institute of Public Health for his administrations to the wellbeing of youngsters in 1998.
